Alliance Member Groups
Member Groups are the heart and soul of the Alliance. These groups are part of a network making a difference on issues throughout the Sierra. Founded in 1993, our Alliance is made up of over 80 organizational members – all are working to protect and restore the natural and community values of the Sierra.
All it takes to join us as a member group is to agree to the Sierra Nevada Alliance mission statement, pay an annual membership fee that is on a sliding scale based on the size of your organization's budget, and fill out a membership form. For more detail visit "How To Support Us" at the top of this page.
Bottom line, all these individual efforts are one effort. The Sierra Nevada Alliance mission is to protect and restore the Sierra Nevada and to achieve this mission by strengthening individual efforts and joining together to be a region-wide force. The Sierra faces extreme challenges in terms of climate change, population growth and poor resource management. We believe we must do everything in our power to make local efforts stronger to protect all the Sierra’s special places, while building a network that will be the foundation for future success.
Together we make a difference!
Membership in the Alliance does not denote any member group support for specific issues in specific counties.
