Sphere of Influence: Tahoe Basin

Areas of Interest: The Tahoe Area Sierra Club Group (TASC) is working to protect and preserve the Lake Tahoe area (and we like to get out and enjoy it too!). We meet the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Douglas County Fire Station in Round Hill. We are focused on several issues: watchdogging the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) to make sure they protect Lake Tahoe; stopping the planned over development for the Martis Valley; preserving sensitive parcels of raw land like Burke Creek. We also host outings: hike, snowshoe, xc ski, etc. with other conservation minded people!
