Sphere of Influence: Nevada City/Counties: Nevada, Sierra, Yuba (south), Sutter (south)

Areas of Interest: The Sierra Club's mission is to explore, enjoy and protect the wild places of the earth; to practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources; and to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environments. Our local group, by extension, tries to carry out this mission through educational field trips and outings, bi-monthly presentations, newsletter articles and activism on selected issues that arise in our geographic area. We concentrate on forest, wilderness, water and land issues.
