Areas of Interest: Assure protection of Mono Lake, restore lost stream and lake habitats, educate public about Mono Lake, impacts of water use, cooperative solutions to problems. Interests also include saline lakes, creek restoration, Great Basin birds, hydrorelicensing and dam operations. Connect urban youth and constituency with Mono Lake and Sierra as source of their water through multi-day education programs. Also educate public through field seminars, public visitor center, and naturalist walks. Public - Watchdog land and lake use in the Mono Basin for any adverse effects on the resource values of Mono Lake. Advocate protection and restoration of Mono Basin natural habitats. Developing overall policy on recreation in the heavily visited Mono Basin. Seek passive, quiet recreational opportunities consistent with the experience of solitude. Observe bird use of Mono Basin.
