Current and Past Land Projects: LLTT was formed in 1987, initially to acquire and protect the old Southern Pacific Depot in Susanville, CA. The derelict building, once proposed for demolition, is now restored and functions as a museum, visitor center, and official trailhead for the Bizz Johnson Rail Trail, a nationally-recognized rails-to-trails conservation project.

The Lassen Land and Trails Trust has expanded its scope significantly since its inception and currently dedicates itself to conservation outreach and trail development throughout Lassen County. It has acquired a 640 acre conservation easement in the upper Pine Creek Watershed and has been responsible for development of the Susan River Parkway which included habitat restoration, trail development, and construction of a wheelchair accessible fishing platform along the Susan River. LLTT also serves as a partner in development of Lassen County's Trails Master Plan.

Future Plans: The Trust is currently working on securing funding for the restoration of a 1700 ft section of Piute Creek that runs through Susanville's Memorial Park.
